I became an altruistic kidney donor on October 19, 2017

I haven't been personally affected by kidney disease or transplant in my family or with close friends, but once I heard you can live with just one kidney, I never thought twice about it.

I GET LOUD for kidneys because 20+ people die every day waiting for organs.

My mind was made up as soon as I learned about living donation and I know there are many many more potential living donors out there waiting to be informed so they can donate too. Knowledge is power and awareness creates change. Will you GET LOUD with us?

Get Loud For Kidneys was started in 2015 after the creator, Ashley Somics, was in need of a second kidney transplant. Through her search for a living kidney donor, she discovered how little awareness there is about kidneys and transplant, along with the lack of support for patients and families. She hopes to change that through awareness and support programs. Awareness Creates Change. We will be the change and encourage others to follow in our footsteps.
