My name is Robyn Wickland and I'm a thirty year old California girl living with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Disease. Currently on the waiting list with University of San Francisco and a potential donor has started the testing process for me (see photo below).

The world needs to Get Loud For Kidneys because kidney disease is a silent killer. Most people don't realize it is affecting them until they are in desperate need of dialysis or a transplant. I know three other people that have kidney issues just in Fresno, California alone. 

I am currently working on a blog to help get the word out called Little Left Kidney. My hope is that it will help someone else going through similar situations.

Get Loud For Kidneys was started in 2015 after the creator, Ashley Somics, was in need of a second kidney transplant. Through her search for a living kidney donor, she discovered how little awareness there is about kidneys and transplant, along with the lack of support for patients and families. She hopes to change that through awareness and support programs. Awareness Creates Change. We will be the change and encourage others to follow in our footsteps.
