Diagnosed in 1991 from *unknown cause. Believed to be a result of child abuse.

I want more people to understand that kidney disease is an invisible disease. I may look fine but I am far from it. Just because someone may look healthy, it doesn’t mean they are.

It is tough to remain positive at times with the constant ups and downs, buy my faith is very important to me. Praying and looking to the Lord helps me the most. I also have wonderful support from my family and friends. They help me stay as positive as possible.

Kimberly is currently on dialysis. She was set to have a kidney transplant November 21, 2017 but because her previous transplant was removed in July her antibodies changed. She was just recently placed on the kidney paired donation list with her donor that is no longer a match for her. The family is hoping for matches for her and her donor very soon.
